미국 폰테인블루 호텔 출국을 준비하는 회원 여러분들 에게 공지사항 안내 드립니다.

미국무부 스폰서 기관에서 여러분들의 미대사관 2차 인터뷰 준비를 긍정적으로 진행 중이나, 연말 연시 동안 휴업하고 2016 14일 업무를 개시하는 이유로 트레이닝플랜의 수정작업은 후에 진행이 가능할 것으로 보입니다.

호스코는 인터뷰 탈락 이후 현시간까지 바쁜 연말시간 속에서도 여러분들의 성공적인 비자를 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 아래에 한국시간 새벽에 국무성스폰서 기관에서 온 메일을 첨부해 드립니다. 이는 호텔과 국무성스폰서 기관과 협의하여 결정한 사항입니다. 이메일에 명시된 내용을 참고하시어 대사관 인터뷰 전 해당되는 구비서류(최신성적표, 추천서 등)를 준비해 주시기 바랍니다. 저희도 마지막까지 여러분들의 출국에 힘쓰도록 하겠습니다.

We have reviewed the Fontainebleau Training Plan, and found a few very minor changes that can be made, in the interest of highlighting the rotations and differences in the Culinary departments that the interns will experience (and the training they will receive there).  Basically, it would involve changing the word ‘kitchen’ to ‘department’ or ‘area’ in 2 or 3 instances, within the first two sections of the last 3 phases and adding in a word or two to highlight the professional nature of skills to be acquired.  We would change the Title of the 3rd phase to ‘Catering and Banquet (Hot Production) Department.’


Please keep in mind, however, that this is now an extraordinarily busy time of year for the Fontainebleau and its restaurants and functions – and that we would have to get signatures from Chef Simon on all the changed phases, for each intern yet to do the interview (or going back for the 2nd try).  We would then need to update the SEVIS record to show the dates of all signatures for these interns before the visa interview.


Otherwise, however, I would suggest that all interns be sure to bring in the latest possible Transcript from their school, and as I said before, make sure that the Culinary-focused program or Major is clearly written on any documents from the University.  We feel that it is likely that the updated, further documentation of their Culinary focused academic training, and classes taken, will hold more weight, as effective support of the visa application.  Intern candidates should be able to articulate that the Internship program is meant to give them a professional Culinary-focused training (not meant to be an academic course) that will follow the academic preparation they have acquired at the University.


As for Yuncheol Kim, I will prepare a letter to this effect – explaining the Culinary nature of the training that he has been given, and why the Training Plan, as prepared, is appropriate to his academic program and the J-1 visa he is applying for.  Please make sure that any updated documents from the University for him are also going to be submitted.  It is not appropriate or possible to add in any additional phases outside of the Culinary operations of the Fontainebleau, unfortunately.  We also do not feel that it should be appropriate or necessary to do so.
